On June 8, 2020, ODM National Youth Coordinator Benson Musungu revealed that he had been admitted to Aga Khan Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after testing positive for Covid-19.
According to a statement on his Facebook page, Mr. Musungu had been at the ICU for six days at the time of his announcement.
His admission to the ICU came just an hour after ODM leader Raila Odinga cautioned Kenyans to be careful and follow the guidelines issued by the government.
Mr. Musungu had previously contested the ODM primaries for the Kibra parliamentary seat in late 2019, but was unsuccessful in his bid.
