Story · “You Can Go Elsewhere” : Milan Officials Blast Customer For Complaints Against Discriminatory Tendencies

Popular social media influencer Ian Mbunde brother to radio presenter and former ScanAd honcho Brian Mbunde has blasted an equally popular joint Milan Kenya, for exhibiting discriminatory tendencies.

Mbunde was asked to leave his hoodie at the coat-check, with management insisting that there’s a “dress code” targeting male clients. As the saying “the internet never forgets” goes, photos were pull up showing other favorable and likeable patrons dressed in the same hoodies, allowed in the establishment. Milan is wholly-owned by Sport Pesa CEO Ronald Karauri and his Bulgarian partners, but Codered DJ Stylez and Telehmani have been given nominal shares because of their work in managing and mobilizing crowds.

Perhaps this fame is getting into their head, and being that they have not contributed a penny into the massive investment, they had the audacity to tell Mbunde that “you can always go elsewhere”. Such arrogance and clique mentality was last witnessed with Sohoz nightclub, where the Indian owner only allowed those he deemed as “worthy” just on the basis of appearing in the media, or being related to the political class, into the VIP area.

It later emerged that those wannabe boujee Nairobians weren’t even paying their bills, leaving the establishment cash-strapped.

Today the muhindi owner of Sohoz drinks alone and his arrogance was trimmed by natural selection and competition.

It’s the same story everyday. Establishments lose focus of their goal which is to make money, and start demanding more from their patrons. They want clients to kiss their ass, shower them with false praise or beg for exclusive treatment.

A word to DJ Stylez and Telehmani, stop getting high on your own supply. We have seen many clubs come and go in Nairobi. Be humble. Clients are there to spend their hard-earned money, not suck your dicks.
