Woman's Baby Dissapears Just Moments After Giving Birth In Matungu
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
A woman in Matungu sub-county is in despair after her newborn child reportedly disappeared just moments after she had given birth.
The woman identified as Merceline Akinyi says that she still hasn't been given her child eight days after giving birth.
When asked, the doctors at the facility said that Akinyi had a "stillbirth" and that they showed her the foetus which she declined and they later wrapped it up and put it inside a gloves box. The next morning the baby could not be found where it had been placed.
Ms Akinyi who was discharged on the 21st of this month, however, insists that the hospital is hiding something and still demands to see her second born baby.
“All I want is my baby — alive or dead. If it died, I want the body returned to me so that I can bury my baby,” she said.
Police have now said they are investigating the matter.
