At the time, a frustrated guardian narrated to us how his daughter, alongside a group of other students, were locked up in a detention hall over an unremitted balance of Sh5,000.

Months later, and endless complaints keep churning out of the discredited learning institution that seems hell-bent on draining the pockets of helpless parents.

This time around, the school faces fresh allegations of reportedly shaming students with outstanding fee balance by picking them from their classes and sending them home in school buses, without even notifying their parents. “Hi Nyakundi, St. Mary's Sportsview Kasarani has employed this tactic of hoarding kids with school fee balances onto school bus and teachers accompany the kids to their homes. So kids spend almost the whole day going from one estate to the other. Can't the school administration call parents/guardians first instead of punishing and embarrassing innocent pupils?” an angry parent wrote to us on Wednesday, October 26.
