Story · What You Need To Know About Deadly Coronavirus

Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds that include diarrhea in cows and pigs, and upper respiratory disease in chickens. In humans, the virus causes respiratory infections, which are often mild, but are potentially lethal, according to online sources. The ground zero for the virus is Wuhan Province in China. So far, as of Sunday, China announced that 15 more people have been killed by the virus, this brings the total number of deaths to 56 people. Across the country, 688 cases of the new virus were diagnosed on Saturday, the government said early Sunday. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 1,975. Even as countries such as the United States of AMerica (USA) is evacuating its citizens from China, there has never been a single mention of how African countries are preparing to counter the virus. Soon and very soon, the African will be used as a Guinea-pig to try to make the vaccine and drugs for the disease. The Virus which enters the body through the nose and mouth is said to have the following symptoms: Runny Nose, Cough, Sore Throat and High fever. Most victims of the virus die from complications including pneumonia and swelling in the lung. The swelling in the lungs makes it hard for one to breathe normally which leads to organ failure. Severe pneumonia can kill people by causing them to 'drown'  in the fluid flooding their lungs.
