Worshippers locked out at the Nairobi Central SDA Church due to leadership wrangles
Following the wranglers witnessed at the Nairobi Central Seventh Day Adventist (SDA), the church's top organ for management of Central Kenya Field affairs, the Nairobi Cosmopolitan Conference (NCC) released a press statement on 'corruption and injustice in the SDA church in Kenya', hoping to set the record straight.
The statement which was released yesterday, 14th August, 2019, touches on several issues such as corruption and embezzlement of funds in the church, control of resources, negative ethnicity and ethnic balance, elections rigging and appointment and division of regions and revenue among others.
The document particularly mentions a scenario where 'corrupt' group of leaders within the church attempted to sell a prime piece of land in Kileleshwa are at a cost of Kshs. 200 million using forged documents 'without material facts'. On this matter the NCC seeks government's intervention and the goodwill of Kenyans and the media.
