Video Of A Nyamira County Female Chief 'Disciplining' Chang'aa Brewers Divides Social Media

A video of an assistant chief from Nyakeore Sub-location, Bonyamatuta ward, Nyamira County 'disciplining' illicit alchohol brewers has been doing rounds on social media over the past 24 hours.

In the video, the three suspects are seen receiving heavy strokes of canes as the spectating public laughs in the background.

The video was met by heavy criticism from social media with a lot of people viewing the act as a case of assault and demanding for action to be taken on the assistant chief.

Although the majority felt that she was out of order and she should have followed he law and arraign the suspects in court, quite a number felt that the three illicit brewers deserved what they got and that it was the only way of curbing the menace.
