Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has recently been under fire from the public who have heavily criticized his recent relations with Deputy President William Ruto.

Khalwale has been accused of being pocketed by the DP into becoming his lapdog with many Western voters saying the region needs a fresh leader since Khalwale has become another “watermelon” whose personal interests come before those of his people.

On a morning radio show this morning, Boni Khalwale confirmed that in the spirit of the handshake, he and William Ruto decided to meet and put their differences aside. Having been adversaries since time in memorial, he says this coming together was for the greater good of the nation.
