Video: American Singer Cardi B admits she used to drug and rob men during her stripping days
Newsroom Updated 2 min read
American Singer Cardi B has been in trouble with a section of the online community after she made a series of admissions about her past life, including that she used to steal from men after offering them sex.
While on Instagram live, the Grammy Award-winning artist got carried away when hitting back at critics who claim she didn't deserve her success and in an ill-advised attempt to show just how much she has worked for what she has, the 26-year-old ended up making shocking admissions from her past life. “Niggas must've forgotten. My niggas, the shit that I did to muthafuckin' survive. I had to go strip. I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you wanna fuck me? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's go back to this hotel’. And I drugged niggas up and robbed them! ” “That's what I used to do. Nothing was muthafuckin' handed to me, my niggas. Nothing!” People have now taken to social media to voice their outrage at her claims with the hashtag #SurvivingCardiB doing rounds on Twitter as a playoff to the recent controversy that met the “Surviving R Kelly” documentary with a huge section feeling that she deserves the exact same treatment as the R & B Singer.
Through her Instagram, the rapper has since posted a picture with a statement defending her actions with the caption “All I can do now is be a better me for myself, my family and my future”.
In the statement, she claims that her past acts were out of desperation.
