[VIDEO] 'Africa Is In The Best Position To Win In The New Scramble For Africa', Argues The Economist
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Robert Guest the Foreign Editor for the Economist Newspaper argues that Africa can emerge top in the new scramble for Africa involving China, Russia and Western Countries.
He says that there have been 3 scrambles for Africa; the colonisation, the cold war and now, one that is led by China.
Mr. Guest however says that the major impediment is corruption by African leaders.
All is not lost though, as he goes on to say that corruption can be defeated by exposing the deals and calling for transparency as has been done by Kenyan bloggers in the case of the Standard Gauge Railways (SGR).
