Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has banned night discos in his county in a bid to curb the rise of teenage pregnancies.
According to the governor, discos during burials and other social events have been a major cause of teenage pregnancies in the area.
The ban further extends to all parties involving school going children.
He has also asked relevant authorities within the sub-counties to make sure these new orders are fully enforced and anyone found engaging in sex with underage children immediately arrested and charged.
