Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Two teenage boys in Nyandarua County are currently recovering at J.M Memorial Hospital after they were forced to consume hydrogen peroxide by an unknown person.
This incident is believed to have happened as the two boys were going through a customary initiation process.
According to nurses at the facility, the two were received at the facility on Sunday morning while unconscious.
The culprit is said to have run away when he realized the boys had become unconscious.
The boys also had signs of physical assault but their caretaker vehemently denied these claims saying that the compound where the initiation process took place was completely safe.
The boys are now recuperating at the hospital as investigations are conducted.
