Trouble At Texas Cancer Centre - Nairobi

This country has in the past few weeks debated about Cancer.

This debate was stimulated by the deaths iof three prominent Kenyans; Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore; Kibra Member of National Assembly Ken Okoth and Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso.

Kenyans, in there usual fashion of leader worship supported all manner of stupid suggestions on the ways of dealing with the disease. Githeri media even suggested that cancer was the leading killer in Kenya. For a month, issues of corruption, nepotism, negative ethnicity took a back banner. The same energy is not even being used in talking about Malaria that is ravaging through Baringo. This is insane. Texas Cancer Centre Patients at the Texas Cancer Centre are a suffering lot. The hospital which is now understaffed and operating below par has patients surviving on inadequate food ration, nyakundireport.com has learnt.

Samson W. Watta, who is the owner of the centre decided to reduce staff salaries by half, shut down some machines, and patients who apart from eating less than required are also forced to look for medicine elsewhere.

A source at the facility confirms that some machines have not been working for 4 months now.

'Some hospital machines have not been functioning for over 4 months now and the service quality has gone down completely', said the source.

Samson is not in good terms with the wife, Catherine Nyonges, who runs the centre as the Chief Executive Offcier (CEO). The trips made out by Dr. Catherine Nyongesa, Samson's wife, on social media are just pure PR to make the public feel that there is no bad blood between them.
