Story · TransAfrica Paper Mills Plans To Lay Off Staff

A company based in Nairobi's industrial area TransAfrica Paper mills, a member of the DMC Group is planning to fire staff over the coronavirus pandemic. They've announced it today.

Now the only problem is that the coronavirus disease and its effects seems to be just an excuse according to staff. Hi Cyprian, I work in an Asian company in industrial area, last year they tried redundancy which was based on who knows who was later turned off after media got wind of it , now they have taken advantage of this corona and started the process all over again ..Share till atwoli ge ts to know ..thank you.

Just like the Standard Media Group which has for long been propped up by looted money, still profitable but chose to fire staff at a tike when they need their jobs more, TransAfrica Paper Mills seem to be following in that footsteps.

It is a tough time for Kenya and Kenyans, but people who are not used to pay taxes shouldn't be firing at this point.

Does TransAfrica Paper Mills pay taxes to KRA, how about other statutory deductibles such as NHIF and NSSF?
