On Friday, Kenyan telecommunications company Airtel Kenya dropped a series of video adverts that looked like a direct hit at their main competitors Safaricom.
In the videos, Airtel tells consumers that the “green” network gives them less than what they pay for and urges them to make the switch to the “red” side where you get value for your money.
Airtel and Telkom Kenya recently completed a merger as they seek to break Safaricom's dominance in the Kenyan market and their latest adverts show that they are indeed ready for the big battle.

Although Kenyans acknowledged the creativity and effort put into the videos and despite Airtel's rates being one of the best in the country, the company still faces some major challenges like their network coverage and accessibility of their services through “agents”.
