Story · This Is A Joke: Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology (KWUST)

Prof. Justus K. Mile, Vice Chancellor, Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology (KWUST)

On its website, Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology (KWUST) boasts of being a private, women’s only Kenyan university.

It states that its main objective is to bridge the gap in gender representation in higher education as well as contributing to the social and economic development of the country.

The university was founded in 2002 and is accredited by The Commission for University Education (CUE).

Our source here questions the standing of such an institution that operates like a kindergarten.

Kenyan education standards are stuff of despicable rat race. We can do better.

It is a joke.

Hi Nyakundi,

We have Kiriri University for women; who gave a chatter to that kindergarten in the name of university.

It doesn't even qualify to be called a national polytechnic.

Dig out about the owners.

Government sponsored students out with a degree in 3 years; 2016 Candidates graduated last week.

Few buildings and minimal lecture rooms but the number of graduates is so high.

A computing class graduates with 11 students only, as if it's a PhD class.

Does it qualify to offer such courses?

Integrity of such courses should be under question. Photos
