English Premier League (EPL) team's race for the coveted top four is heating up.

Yesterday, Arsenal dethroned Manchester United with a two-nil win, to enter into the top four.

Top four qualifies a team for the UEFA Champions League, the highest club championships for football clubs in Europe.

Arsenal is one point behind 3rd placed Tottenham Hotspurs.

Liverpool lost its top spot to Manchester City [Man City], though with a slim margin of 1 point.

Arsenal has taken 12 points from the top/big four teams and football pundits say it can only get better for Unai Emery who took over from Arsene Wenger last year.

Manchester City and Liverpool are both credible title contenders, although most people pick Man City to win the league.

Of the current top four teams, only Liverpool has won the UEFA Champions League 5 times, last being in 2005.
