The Bungoma Dual Carriageway Is A Scam

Hi Nyakundi, the county government of Bungoma has awarded a contract for the constitution of a dual way from Musikoma Junction to Kanduyi to a Chinese company for Ksh. 1.7 billion. We understand there we only 2 companies bidding for the same and were being fronted by senior county officials.

The initial cost of the contract was Ksh. 1.2 billion then moved to Ksh. 1.3 billion and finally 1.7 billion. My question is, who are beneficiaries of the extra Ksh. 400,000,000

When l opposed this project on Bungoma Digest, CEC Collins came out with guns blazing saying contract is 1.3 billion then why 1.7 billion now.

Bungoma county has a development budget of Ksh. 1.5 billion then why take on a project of 1.7 billion? Does it mean you will only do that project that year? Is it a priority now? We don't have water all over people are running around with jerricans and hospitals in pathetic situation, expanded roads being filled with soil instead of tarmac.

We know who are beneficiaries of that tender and history will judge you harshly. Do you know that tender was pushed down people of Bungoma because someone wanted to be compensated for a building on a public road?

We understand the county government is working on a way to borrow money to fill the gap but who will pay? Hatutaki madeni once they take debts squander the money then expect a common mwanainchi to start paying debts for decades.lets say no to borrowing.
