Suspect In Mary Wambui's Murder Says She Is Being Sexually Harrassed In The Cells

CAPTION: Judy Wangui Judy Wangui, a suspect in the murder of Mary Wambui has this morning claimed that she is being subjected to torture and sexual harassment at the Juja Police Station where she is currently being held.

According to her lawyer Cliff Ombeta, investigators inserted chilli peper in Judy Wangui’s private parts seeking to force her to speak.

While appearing at the Kiambu Law Courts, Cliff Ombeta also said that the police have been trying to force Judy to alter her statement. Wangui is accused of killing Nairobi businesswoman Mary Wambui by hitting her with a pressure cooker inside her own house at Fourways Junction, Kiambu Road after an love related argument, where Mary Wambui found her husband's photos on the wall and a log book belonging to a Mercedes Benz identical to hers at Judy's house.

She later called a car hire businessman Mr Michael Githae Mathenge to help her get rid of the body in the wee hours of the night.

The prosecution has asked for both suspects to be detained for fourteen more days.
