This past week, student admission drama surrounded Starehe Boys' Centre after the school refused to admit Jack Mutuma Mbabu and accused his father of being extremely arrogant and rude.

This incident forced Kenyans to question the school's admission policy and they demanded clear answers from the administration on how the admission process is carried out.

The school completely refused to admit the young boy from Isiolo despite having an admission letter to the school and his name properly entered into the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS).

The boy was, however, picked up by Mang'u High School and Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed announced that the standoff had come to an end.

Following this drama, Starehe Boys' Centre released a press statement aimed at clearing the air regarding admissions and a step by step guide through the whole process.
