Star Newspaper Correspondents Decry Two Months With No Salary
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
As Journalists across the World are marking the World press freedom day, things are thicker for the Star Newspaper correspondents as it is now exactly two months with no salary.
The Star bosses and Editors are deliberately on move to have the correspondents not earn money where KNA stories are being used at the expense of their stories.
Ghanaian Patrick Quarcoo, often referred to as PQ, is the co-founder and CEO of the Radio Africa Group which owns the star newspaper.
The correspondents spend time in cybers filing stories and updating the newsroom on what happens in Mashinani. Some correspondents have been forced to use soft loans for borrowing money to get bundles in order to send stories.
At times the correspondents send stories which don't see light of day by not being picked by editors for publication.
This is not fair to them, the correspondents lament.
