Story · Star Management Splashed Money On Pizza Party While Correspondents Remain Unpaid

The management of star Kenya, Radio Africa Group on Valentines Day bought pizza worth sh2,000 for each employee and left the correspondents with no pay of two months

The star correspondents have been decrying over delay of their income without official communication from the management.

They said the management of Star led by Paul Illado Head of Content has failed to address their grievances.

Correspondents say, pictures of pizzas bought by the company are circulating on social media yet the company cannot pay them December and January salaries. Star employees have been fully paid their salaries yet the company opt to buy them pizza as a present for valentine day and leave them to starve. " We provide local Content for the Star Kenya but when it comes to payment we are not recognised. We have children to take to school and bills to pay let them pay us our salaries, "they said. Recently Oliver Mathenge Digital Editor at the Star, congratulated efforts of star correspondents for making the star website to hit 4.2 million unique users but when asked about the payment he didn't not respond. It's said star Bosses are punishing the correspondents for their own benefits by putting their pay on fixed account to accumulate so that they can harvest interest.
