Staff Accuse Tuskys Supermarket Of Mistreatment

Hi Mr. Nyakundi,

I am a staff at one of Tuskys Supermarket branches.

Initially I was an intern but after working for nearly a year, I applied for a General worker position (working on shelves).

For your information, Tuskys does not employ people directly; it has an outsourcing company by the name Artemis Outsourcing Limited.

Artemis has lots of problems with its staff.

They have a sacco which they force staff to join, but when one wants to terminate their membership, it becomes a headache.

Sometimes you get deductions on your payslip which aren't explained for and you neva get the money back.

Our employer, Artemis, sent a memo that we should not work more than 11 hours a day; above that the memo said they won't compensate.

However, Tuskys management has disregarded this. We are forced to work even upto 14 hours without extra compensation.

No overtime for these extra hours.
