The family of South Sudanese self-proclaimed millionaire Lawrence Lual Malong Yor Jnr has come out to say that he has gone missing.
His family claims that Lawrence was picked up from his hotel room in Kampala by unknown men dressed in military uniform. Lawrence burst onto the social scene after a video of him swimming in dollars went viral. He would later appear in an interview on Citizen TV hosted by Jeff Koinange. Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigirye on Wednesday told Ugandan media house Daily Monitor that Lawrence Lual Malong Yor Jnr’s family filed a report at Kabalagala Police station in Kampala, stating they have not heard from him since November 14. Malong’s disappearance was first reported on Wednesday by Juba-based Radio Tamazuj through its website. His disappearance comes just weeks after he appeared in a video with KUSO representative and promised to bankroll the institution.
