Shree Swaminarayan Academy In Nyali Accused Of Noise Pollution By Nearby Residents
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
A resident from Nyali has reached out to CNYAKUNDI.COM complaining of noise pollution at their apartment that has made life unbearable. NEMA have refused to take action on the perpetrators despite multiple complaints from tenants.
“Hi Nyakundi, I stay in Nyali next to Shree Swaminarayan Academy and I think they own the apartment I’m staying at.
Sasa shida yangu ni kelele. I have tried talking to them and even called NEMA guys but no action has been taken. It's like they are exempt from the law. They have this garage and all the noise from the drilling, wielding and loading of the metal bars into trucks would make you think you are in Industrial Area.
On top of that, they park their busses just next to the apartment yet they have a huge free space they can use instead.
In addition to the noise from machines at the garage, their workers are also rowdy and make noise all day.”
This is just one of the many noise pollution cases that have been reported in residential areas yet NEMA does nothing about it. From loud churches, mosques, schools and now garages.
Tenants have a right to a serene and quiet environment and NEMA should quit taking bribes and start doing their job.
