Story · Shell Uses Sex-Appeal, A Cheap Attempt At Creating Brand Awareness

Shell/Vivo Kenya headed by Polycarp Igathe has embarked on an easy campaign, by using sex appeal to attract customers. This is as a result of hiring based on patronage and not merit, as Kenya has brains who can develop an excellent marketing campaign.

Polycarp probably got his friend Stanley Kinyanjui of Magnate Ventures to refer him to one of his parners for this mediocre campaign. Cronysm is really affecting Kenya's output and global competency and our best brains remain unutilised. Kenya is now for the shameless self-promoters and ass-kissers. But as usual in Kenya, jobs, contracts and tenders are awarded based on friendship, sexual liaisons and bribes. Merit is the last consideration. Reason why adverts in Kenya are mediocre. Reason why Citizen TV only source for local from Catherine Wamuyu who makes the crappiest of programs despite the presence of better individuals.
