Senior DCI Officer Kills Police Constable In Quarrel Over A Government Car

On Thursday night a Chief Inspector Duncan Maina is reported to have shot dead a police constable after a heated argument over a government vehicle. The constale was identified as Evanson Kipngetich. According to official reports, Evanson who was accompanied by an unidentified man, stopped Mr Maina and demanded for the vehicle he was driving. The vehicle registered KAU 429U reportedly belongs to the DCI.
Further reports say that Mr Maina gave several verbal warnings to Evanson that he would pull the trigger if he did not step away from the car which he ignored and prompted Maina to shoot from close range. He also fired shots at the othr man who luckily escaped after taking cover at a nearby construction site.
The deceased body and 4 spent cartridges were recovered from the scene which means Maina fired at least four times.
CS Matiang'i has now ordered for his immediate arrest.
