Robert Kamau : Why Mwangi Wa Iria has been Impeached

The MCAs will tell you that they are doing it because they care about Muranga residents but that it not the reality . The truth is that Mwangi Wa Iria was being blackmailed by the Foolish MCAs and impeachment bid was meant to coerce the governor into giving the MCAs sitting allowances amounting to Sh130 million.

It is shameful that this is happening in Kenya 50 years after independence. In fact this MCA post should be scrapped off because they are becoming a bigger threat to devolution . There is no explanation that can justify the impeachment of a governor who refuses to bow to impunity .

The Muranga MCAs are also very insincere to allude that they exhausted all avenues . I dont believe Mismanagement of county resources is the reason behind the impeachment . We Must condemn this arm-twisting that has become the order of the day . Muranga county residents deserve better . This is the third year and people should be working not armtwisting and extorting each other
