CAPTION: Social media influencer Nancie Mwai It looks like online influencer Nancie Mwai has a thing for brands with either substandard or counterfeit products.
Thanks to Twitter Police, it has now been revealed that the racism-linked Madora Store influencer Nancie Mwai was also part of the Always Kenya group that chose to go for a weekend roadtrip at a time when customers desperately needed answers over the substandard quality of the the company's sanitary products.
https://twitter.com/Geekymz/status/1111514729149796352?s=19 Through the hashtag #MyAlwaysExperience Kenyans from all walks of life took to social media to give their honest, blunt opinions on the company's sanitary towels.
Instead of responding to their customers' concerns, Always Kenya chose to treat their influencers to a weekend getaway at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club where they uploaded several photos with the hashtag #FeelTheComfort . As consumers dealt with the struggle of burns and rashes thanks to the poor quality of the company's products, the group of ladies were in Nanyuki getting massages and playing dress-up while pretending everything was okay. https://twitter.com/Kawiria/status/1105531202910457857?s=19
This morning, officers from the Anti Counterfeit Agency (ACA) raided the Madora perfume store in Karen and seized fake products estimated to be worth Ksh. 1.5 million.
The company that Nancie promotes on social media was previously accused of selling a customer counterfeit perfume and racially abusing him when he went to ask for an explanation and a refund.
This seemingly confirms that a huge majority of Kenyan influencers are only after the pay cheque and conduct little or no due diligence when signing contracts with various brands.
Misleading the public and your fellow womenfolk just for a few coins is straight up embarassing.
