“Hello Cyprian. Kindly keep my identity confidential. We are urgently seeking help regarding a situation at Ekaya Gardens in Kabete. Residents are living in fear due to what we believe are serious violations by the property owner, Newton Kang’ethe Ndung’u. According to multiple residents, the premises have allegedly been operating like a full-time nightclub, running loud events 24/7 in the middle of a residential estate. On Saturday the 22nd, there was a major event from 3 pm to 2 am featuring large DJs, making the situation unbearable for families, children and people who must work the next day. Many residents now feel unsafe, as it is claimed that the owner has issued threats, suggesting that the neighbourhood would regret standing up for their rights. Families are stressed, frightened, and feel abandoned. We believe our constitutional rights as peaceful residents are being violated, while it is alleged that officials who should protect us have been compromised.
