Story · Receptionist In NHIF Multimillion Saga Is The Late Kajwang's Son

The receptionist at the National Hospital Fund that bought eight houses worth Sh160 million between 2013 and 2017 at an upmarket estate in Athi River is the late Otieno Kajwang's biological son. According to the star newspaper expose, Fredrick Sagwe also owns a chain of cars and carpet-cleaning businesses across Nairobi valued at Sh50 million. They are managed by his wife whom he married at a lavish wedding held at Safari Park at a cost of Sh25 million. The editor of this site, cross-checked and verified that Sagwe is indeed the late Kajwang's son and that is how he managed to manoeuvre through. Some peeople that we spoke to at the NHIF confirmed that Mr. Sagwe liked using "I am the son of Kajwang) tag to intimidate people and benefit.

He was hired during Kajwang time as immigration minister through Nyongo. Then medical services minister

This gives the case a new twist with confirmation that a mere receptionist could not have looted the fund just like that. It also confirms that in Kenya, you must be the ''son or daughter '' of someone to make it when it comes to some of these tenders.

The asset recovery agency will take all the houses and properties he bought with looted taxpayers monies.
