Racism: Day DTB CEO Nasim Devji Ordered Non-Indian Staffer To Vacate Seat For Indian Staffer
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Nasim Devji has been accused of favouring Indian Employees at Agakhan Owned DTB
Dear Cyprian,
It is true what you said about DTB.
I was working at DTB for almost 5 Years till I resigned in 2017 and the kind of treatment meted on us by the Head office management was so belittling and demeaning.
One time when opening garden city branch, we were taking a group staff photo for the branch. The CEO stood at the middle and I happened to have sat on the seat in front of her. She told me to stand up so that an Indian staff could sit there.
Then she held her by the shoulders.
DTB is one of the hardest places to work.
They send people intimidating emails written in BOLD and RED. I can forward some which I have in my possession.
There is a culture in management to be rude and demeaning to staff, including One Mr. George Otiende who heads branches, Lilian Ngala and Nasim run the bank like its their personal shop.
