President Uhuru's Sugar deal to raise funds for 2017 elections
Newsroom Updated 2 min read
You can see it in his eyes, Somebody might have mis-advised the Son of Jomo to sign a deal with Ugandan Government . All headlines are screaming that Uhuru has signed a deal- A sour deal by the way, to allow cheap Ugandan sugar into the Kenyan market.
The sugar barons must be smiling because this deal will fetch them a lot bucks . What beats logic is how a whole president just woke up and decided to sign a poisoned deal . Uganda is the only country currently producing sugar in surplus of 150,000 tonnes and for a long time, they have been looking for a place to dump their surplus sugar .
Kenya has always barred Ugandan sugar from entering its market and there have been talks between the two countries to let this poisoned deal prosper. Market players argue that Kenya is already facing the problem of tax free illegal sugar that comes from other countries, that I will name soon.
So is Uhuru doing this for the good of the Poor Wanjiku or Wekesa ? The simple answer is NO . He is looking for 2017 campaign funds now that the NYS loophole was discovered. Sources tell me the Barons connected to the son of Jomo are now organizing themselves to Reap Big .
Already, Government propagandists and Bootlickers have started doing damage control cementing my argument that people surrounding Uhuru will never tell him that he is naked. One Nzioka Waita- Who happens to be Secretary for Delivery...Assuming that the post adds any value to Kenyans Tweeted saying " Mumias will be OK, even at full operating capacity it can't meet the demand for sugar in Kenya" Nzioka's baseless argument is theoretical, It is not applicable in real life. According to him, there is a biting shortage of Sugar in Kenya . What Nzioka Waita refuses to tell you is that the shortage is being catered for by Illegal tax free Sugar , assuming you are an idiot who needs to be told this open secret . There yah Go Boys . We must all rise up and condemn Uhuru's Irony of Bailing out Mumias with one hand while the other commits to an agreement to allow cheaper Ugandan Sugar into Kenya.
Is it too late ? The far someone can go to solicit for 2017 election funds ?
