CAPTION: Supreme Court judge, Justice Smokin Wanjala For the better part of Thursday, Supreme Court judge, Justice Smokin Wanjala, was the talk of social media following the emergence of a clip in which the respected jurist stunned villagers at a burial in Busia County where he showed up seemingly drunk and made a rather odd speech where he bragged about his credentials, success and career.

Wanjala was attending the burial of Rtd. Justice Lawrence Peter Ouna on Sunday where he was accompanied by some top dignitaries, including by Busia Senator Amos Wako, the area Speaker Bernard Wamalwa, and a few former MPs like Fred Gumo.

In the video clip which you are about to watch below, Wanjala staggers while addressing the mourners in Luhya vernacular and showed a rather cheerful side of judges who are mostly known to have a no-nonsense demeanour. “I am well learned. I went to university and attained a degree. I also undertook my masters at Columbia University. I learnt English and I am a fluent speaker,” Wanjala is heard saying part of the hazy speech.
