Residents of Kabarnet in Baringo County witnessed quite an eventful morning on Friday as the drama unfolded over a skimpily dressed woman in the town.

From social media posts seen by nyakundireport.com , the angry mob of locals claimed the miniskirt she had worn was too short and attempted to strip her naked as a punishment for her lack of morals.

It took the efforts of market women who locked the young lady in one of her shops and offered her some decent clothing.

Police officers from the area had to move in quickly and safely escorted her into their vehicle.

Here are the photos from the drama below. Today's incident in Kabarnet town rings memories of the My Dress My Choice campaign that was launched in November 2014, after a video went viral on social media showing some rogue matatu crew stripping a woman naked for allegedly dressing indecently in Embakasi.

Seven years after this campaign that got the international community's attention, it seems women are still not completely safe in public.
