CAPTION: Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati. Residents of Mt Elgon Sub-county were on Sunday afternoon forced to line up in order to receive handouts from Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati.

The governor who has been heavily criticized by residents for corruption, gave out Ksh. 1,000 notes to those waiting in line.

A source from the county informed this site's chief editor that Mr Wangamati is “a big thief” who uses his firm known as Bonito, to carry out contracts in the county.
