Nairobi County officials have confirmed that six bodies have been recovered from the collapsed multi-storey building in Eastleigh as the multi-agency rescue operation enters its 14th day.

Nairobi North County Commissioner Simon Osumba announced the latest figures during a briefing on Thursday, November 5, following the discovery of three additional bodies.

National Disaster Management Unit Director Duncan Ochieng said the deceased comprised four women and two men. Four other people were rescued alive after the building collapsed along 9th Street on October 23.

The operation involves the Kenya Defence Forces, Nairobi County Government, National Disaster Management Unit and Kenya Red Cross.

Rescue efforts remain difficult, particularly in the basement, where some victims are believed to be trapped. Authorities say five people remain unaccounted for, while identification procedures continue at Nairobi City Mortuary. Families have been urged to remain patient as recovery efforts proceed.
