Obado Rushed To KNH Private Wing...
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Migori County Governor Okoth Obado has been taken ill at the Kenyatta National Hospital private wing this afternoon.
Sources reveal that Obado fell sick at the Industrial Area Prison where he was remanded for 10 days after High Court Judge Justice Jessie Lessit ruled in favour of his detention. Details of his health status are yet to be revealed.
Lady Justice Lessit granted his detention on grounds that the prosecution and defence teams had not received witness statements and other bits of information.
He is facing murder charges in the killing of Rongo University Student Sharon Otieno.
Obado will appear at the Milimani Law Courts on October 8 to face murder charges alongside two other suspects; his personal assistant Michael Oyamo and Caspel Obiero and a clerk at the Migori County Assembly
