Moi Taken To Hospital Again, Is It The End?
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Former President Daniel Toroitich arap Moi was on Monday taken to The Nairobi Hospital for the second time in two weeks for a routine exam in which some say he suffered breathing complications.
Mr Moi (95) admission to hospital was confirmed by his long-serving Press Secretary, Lee Njiru.
Njiru allayed fears about Moi's health saying, "It is true [that] Mzee Moi went to Nairobi Hospital today (Monday) but it [was for] a routine medical check-up.”
He added: “It is prudent and advisable that everybody should go for medical check-up, so Mzee Moi went for a medical check up.”
Mr Njiru said Mr Moi's physician, Dr David Silverstein will determine how long he will stay at the hospital.
“He is expected to go back home but that will be at the discretion of his personal physician; he will make the final decision.”
