Lady Blacklisted On CRB For A Loan She Never Took — How Credit Card Fraudsters Are Plunging Kenyans Into Financial Crisis
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
On Monday morning a distressed lady took to social media to air her shock after she found out she was blacklisted on CRB for a Ksh. 16,000 loan she purportedly took.
After investigating, she found out that someone took her ID number and applied for a credit card with credit card firm AFB, which later closed shop in the country. The person then defaulted and the interest increased to Ksh. 16,000.
Here is a thread of her tweets. After Ndanu shared her story, Kenyans who have been through similar experiences joined in to tell their stories.
