A Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student Mofasa Shawn was stabbed by thugs last evening at HighPoint in Juja.
This comes weeks after another student Tabitha Muithoni, was stabbed to death. Muthoni died resisting thugs who had demanded her cellphone and other valuables.
Mofasa is said to be receiving treatment at Thika Level 5 Hospital. One of his attackers was lynched by angry residents. LYNCHED: One of the suspects that attacked Mofasa burned to death
Earlier in February, JKUAT students held demonstrations protesting insecurity in the area and calling for police to help curb the menace.
“Young people are the trustees of prosperity, it is a big tragedy when those put in place to protect them turn out to be the threat. Calls to amnesty and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and other stakeholders to get into the matter before things get out of control. Rip Comrade,” posted Karagu Ngugi.
Today, Netizens are on Twitter with the hashtag #JujaKillings protesting the killings in and around Juja. They are calling on the police to put up a police post in the area.
On the same day, it is said that another unidentified student was also stabbed.
This is as reported from a screenshot of a Whatsapp Group. This second incident has not yet been confirmed. Screenshot showing yet the stabbing of another JKUAT student
