Story · JKIA Employees Expose Their Suffering After Coronavirus Spread

Hello Mr nyakundi. Hide my identity please. Us working @ the airport are under threat.

When we questioned on the China flight we were threatened with sacking from Afyahouse.

We are threatened day in day out from Afya House.

In the last six months alone more than 1/3 of the staffs working in surveillance unit have been issued with show cause letters with sacking threats with direct instructions from the permanent Secretary and cabinet secretary without following the right human resource protocols.

We have never been trained on coronavirus yet its allover the news over training's that have never been done.

Our special duty allowances has never been issued despite the grave responsibility we have handling this deadly disease.

We are requesting withdrawal of this show cause letters .We are demoralised since you ain't sure if your job is secure yet we safequard lives of 50 million Kenyans.

We request some independence on advising this flights at JKIA.

We request improvement on our office since we have one tiny unventilated office serving more than 20 staffers. If one gets infected we will all die.

We request training of all the staffers working on corona surveillance

Independence to be given to Port health hierarchy on discipline a PS and cs should not force a show cause letters to junior officers at will based on her passage through the airport.
