Is Geothermal Development Corporation a Scam ? Part I
Newsroom Updated 2 min read
Since last year April, I have said and always maintained that the Rot at GDC is too much and president Uhuru must disband the corporation and order for serious investigations. Money has been squandered- Poor Kenyans Money to evoke emotions . Despite the mountains of evidence that has been availed, the leaders who should investigate the Rot have been quiet. To fight graft in this country, we need political will to deal with the big fish who move around bragging how they are immune and peeing on our integrity.
The GDC CEO lied to Kenyans that they have produced 70 MW of steam at Menengai but a feasibility study revealed that only 21 MW of steam was produced after spending 50 + Billion Check Here . It has also emerged that GDC is accountable to itself. Loaded with " It is our time to eat mindset " procurement is done without board approval and with impunity. A point in case is : On the 9th of January 2013 GDC awarded a tender to supply additional rig for USD 21,593,670.92 without board approval . There is no accountability and transparency at #GDC . Material transactions ought to be sanctioned by the Board. There are many other corruptly procured contracts that I will document in this Blog .
To restore sanity at #GDC we demand freezing of new loans and grants agreements between GDC and other players until audit is done. Everything must be reset to default at the corporation to save poor Kenyans taxes if this country is fully determined to nip graft at the bud.
