If Uhuru Betrays Ruto, Kenyans Must Prepare For Another 2007/08 Post-Election Violence.
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
A screenshot of a social media user threatening 2007/8 post-election violence has been doing the rounds on social media. The social media user, Dennis Kiptoo Mutai had tweeted threatening post-election violence if Kikuyus fail to pay their debt of voting for William Ruto as per the MOU. There has been a buzz about 2022 general elections, barely a year after Kenyans voted. The 2022 narrative is being promoted by the Kenyan media that has featured an exchange by politicians from all the political divides. Despite the post-election violence threat, which amounts to incitement, the social media user who posted the statements is a free man, exposing NCIC, the moribund commission whose officials, led by Kaparo focus on doing the government hit-job like harassing bloggers on imaginary hate speech while hate-mongers roam free.
The social media user also indicated that it is going to be worse if Kikuyus don't vote for Ruto come 2022.
Some Kalenjins on social media have threatened to attack Kikuyus come 2022 if they don't support the hustler.
