How Racist Chinese Firm Afristar fired unvaccinated African staffers, quarantined others for over a year

Sammy Karuga Gachuhi - Afristar Deputy General Manager Afristar has been accused of many things ranging from racism to outright harassment of staffers with no help coming from the Union which seems to be in their pockets.

For instance, a staffer sent us the complaint below, exposing how the Chinese led Afristar doesn't care about their staffers who have been complaining for many years now.

I work for Afristar, the company that runs the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) and they are really frustrating us.

Imagine being married and it has been over a year since I went home reason being that we are working under quarantine.

They have coached people here at the locomotive depot to frustrate the take over process.

I am a mother I have been denied the right to be with my children by people who are paid millions while I earn peanuts.

Any union we join always end up pleasing the management 4 years down the line salary has never changed yet the cost of living has gone up.

Who will get us out of this misery?

Additionally, some African staffers that we will interview soon, complained of being fired for not being vaccinated, something very illegal according to the law. Their plight has not even been handled by their union which is very compromised.

The harassment at Afristar is not new and it is time Authorities do something about all this.
