'GSU headquarters stealing our ration', - Recce squad officer says

A Recce officer has sent the below information claiming that they are starving as most of their supplies is stolen by 'big men' at their headquarters in Nairobi.

Good morning Mr nyakundi,

Please hide my identity. I am a GSU recce squad officer currently based in North Eastern. Our worn has become hard since we don't have enough food.

This is because when govt releases foods from stores at GSU headquarters in Ruaraka, our bosses at Recce Scquad Ruiru base steal some and when the ration reaches North Eastern, it is not enough.

The food that is supposes to sustain us for three months is inadequate. Venturing where KDF fears We work in the bushes and it is hard to buy food even if you have money. We were also banned from venturing outside the camp because of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from Al Shabaab.

'Our bosses are just enjoying life uko Nairobi. Recently, kuna deployment ilifanyika na sisi tunapelekwa zile areas ata KDF wanakataa kuenda despite the fact that wako na sophisticated weapons na sisi we are ill armed na tunapelekwa such place. According to me kuna watu wana benefit na pesa ya hardship ambayo inafaa tupewe kwa sababu huwezi niambia government inaeza tupeleka such places bila benefits hope hii message itawafikia", he concludes.
