Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Kevin Obia, the man who was caught on camera brandishing a firearm at a security guard in Kileleshwa was today charged at the Milimani Law Courts.
Obia denied both counts of threatening to kill and behaving in a disorderly manner while carrying a firearm before Senior Principal Magistrate Peter Ooko.
It was reported that on March 16th 2019 at Vue Claire Place on Siaya Road, Mr. Kevin Obia threatened to kill a security guard identified as Yohana Imbwaka without any lawful reason while fully armed with a pistol. He took out the firearm and pointed it to Mr. Imbwaka with a clear intention to shoot. This was after the security guard humbly requested him not to park his car at the parking lot reserved for the apartment's tenants and directed him to the visitor's parking area.
An extremely hostile Obia went against the guard's request and went ahead to park his car at the space reserved for tenants.
The accused was released on a cash bail of Ksh. 500,000 with an alternative bond of Ksh. 1 million with the case set for mentioning on the 4th of April 2019.
