Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo Reacts To David Murathe's Statements
Newsroom Updated 2 min read
Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo has reacted to David Murathe's statements pertaining the support on the deputy president from the Kikuyu community come 2022.
Hon Murathe who is president Uhuru’s confidant told a gathering of Luyha leaders that Uhuru and Mt Kenya voters will not support DP Ruto in 2022. He called on the Luyha community to unite if they want to clinch the presidency.
Hon Murathe revealed there was not MoU between Kikuyus and DP Ruto to support him in 2022 and if any verbal agreement was made between him and Uhuru then that is the business of citizen Uhuru Kenyatta and does not bind the Mt Kenya region.
Kabogo tweeted “Murathe has no authority to speak on anyone’s behalf. Who is he to ask DP Dr WSR to retire from politics in 2022 we’ve not forgotten he sold his parliamentary seat to SK Macharia. He’s politically broke.” Murathe has no authority to speak on anyone’s behalf.
