Exposed: Citizen TV's Mike Okinyi Is Using Sports Journalists Association For Personal Gain

Please I would like to share some information with you incognito about the Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) which has turned into one big cartel of friends and cronies.

When the SJAK was formed in 2014 it started as a noble venture for sports journalists but the organisation has fast and furiously developed into a cartel with the ring leader being Citizen's TV Editor Mike Okinyi who is using the organisation for personal benefits.

The people elected have forgotten their calling and instead are benefiting from getting sponsorships most of which go to personal pockets for the chairman Chris Mbaisi and treasurer Evelyne Watta also being beneficiaries.

However the biggest culprit is the boisterous and egotistical Mike Okinyi who is using the main Kenyan Premier League (KPL) sponsor SportPesa to benefit personally off the huge sums of money. He loves journalists bootlicking him and if you don't, then you are in bad books. For example they recently organised a trip for journalists to the UK and Okinyi only told his cronies and fellow bootlickers.

He gets massive payments from SportPesa and is even the editor of their website where journalists pay him so that he can accept stories and when a recent trip was organised for Naivasha a whooping Kshs. 300,000.00 was allocated for alcohol and he got his share from it and every other transaction, money with which he uses to bonk people's wives.

Okinyi's arrogance has gone a level high as he uses his position at Citizen TV to get favours and sleep with lady journalists and those journalists that don't bootlick him will never get any opportunities.The situation is so bad that members are planning a coup d' etat to force the entire office at SJAK out as they largely use the organisation to enrich themselves.

Okinyi also has a weird connection with Farida Karoney, as she is said to be his godmother. He follows her everywhere she gets a job. He is her project.

The SJAK cartel is paid so much to protect the likes of SportPesa but Mike Okinyi is the main beneficiary as chairman Mbaisi Chris also uses the opportunity to get trips and the ever travelling Evelyn Watta who thinks that she is the only one who is valuable in the organisation. Evelyn Watta imagines that she's God's gift to Kenyan sport.
