Equity Bank Employees Decry Poor Pay & Forceful Deductions From Their Salaries
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Good afternoon Cyprian,
I am writting this to your attention in a view that you will assist us employees of Equity (over 5,000).
We have been deducted Ksh. 15,000 spread into Ksh 2,500 per month every year since 2017.
Something which was not there since inception of the bank and I dont know why James Mwangi decided to steal from us yet there is no change in medical cover.
This year they are about to start deducting us the small amount despite the fact that they realy under pay us compared to the banks in the industry (I am a supervisor and I earn Ksh. 55,000)
Kindly get to know why they started deducting us yet no change in medical cover.
Let them not milk us dry. We don't care about bonuses but let them leave our salaries.
These guys are stealing in the name of medical cover, we were forced to sign it.
We trust you will look into this and assist us.
STOP SLAVERY, WE NEED A BETTER ENVIRONMENT AND BETTER PAY.
